Questions and Answers

What does my XtremeTrips.com package include?
Every destination has very different inclusions. Typically they include your hotel stay, round trip flight or cruise, transfers to and from the hotel, and all associated taxes and fees.

Any meals included in my package?
Each trip has different inclusions. We offer early booking incentives that include free meals if you sign up early. You can also purchase a meal plan at a discounted rate for travel to many of our locations. Check the destination page for your chosen location for specific deadlines and meal inclusions.

What if I find a cheaper price?

XtremeTrips.com stands firmly by our Lowest Price pledge. Other companies might advertise a cheaper price, but when all the last minute shady taxes and fees are added up, we offer the cheapest package in the industry, without sacrificing quality.

Do I need a passport or a birth certificate?
To travel to Mexico or any international destination, you MUST have a VALID PASSPORT.

What if I am not a U.S. citizen?
If you are not currently a U.S. citizen, you must contact your local consulate and secure the necessary documents necessary to travel to your destination.

What if I will not be 18 years old during my trip?
You MUST be 18 to travel with XtremeTrips.com during our college Spring Break events. If you are super smart and landed in college at 17, the U.S. government requires students under the age of 18 who travel with us to provide a notarized letter from both your parents/legal guardians permitting you to travel outside the U.S. (Both parents must sign and the letter must be notarized even if they are separated or divorced.) In the event that one parent is deceased, you will need a notarized letter from your living parent along with a copy of the death certificate for your deceased parent.

Remember, if you don't bring the right documentation to the airport you won't be allowed to board the plane, resulting in a full loss of your trip.

When do I receive confirmations and travel documents?
You can print your travel documents as soon as they're ready by accessing your account on XtremeTrips.com. If you've given us your email address, we'll send you e-mail notifications with links to print out invoices, confirmations, travel documents, and all other correspondence. We'll send you an email when your tickets are ready, usually no later than 5-10 days before your trip.

If you do not provide us with a valid e-mail address, you are responsible for retrieving your travel documents, invoices, and correspondence by accessing your account on our website. If you don't remember your log in, email us at info@xtremetrips.com.

If you are the lead person for your room or an Xtreme Representative, be sure to distribute all updated information to your roommates and group as soon as you receive it.

What airlines will I fly on?

XtremeTrips.com works with major commercial airlines and/or reliable charters, depending on your departure city, destination, and week of Spring Break.

Of course all charter airlines are subject to the same maintenance rules and inspections put forth by the FAA. You will either be flown on a scheduled airline or in seats that we have purchased through a charter airline.

Are the flights direct?
We do our best to place you on a direct and/or non-stop flight, however, we cannot guarantee that will be possible for every route, as some may require a connection.

When will we have our flight times?

Just as soon as the airlines send us that info! We will update the information in your online account and email you about the update as soon as we get that information, in most cases at least 7-10 days prior to departure. You'll then be able to print your travel documents 5-10 days before your trip.

Do I need spending money, if so how much?
Every destination has different standards and every student has different spending needs. Some students can get by on $200 while others need much more. Our experience has been that on average in Mexico, most students use around $300 for food and activities for a full week.

Should I take cash or travelers' checks?
Take both! You will need some cash during travel and upon arrival, however for security reasons we recommend that you keep the bulk of your spending money in the form of travelers' checks. This way you cash only what you need to get you through one or two days at a time and stash the rest in your hotel's safe deposit box.

Xtreme Tip - Remember to separate your travelers checks receipts from your traveler's checks. In the unfortunate event of a theft, you'll need the receipts to get new checks. In addition to keeping your money safe, traveler's checks will save you from re-converting your money back into U.S. dollars, which usually adds up annoying service fees.

What happens when I get off the plane?

You’ll be anxious to start partying, if you haven’t started already. We respectfully ask that you be patient while going through customs, as this process can be lengthy sometimes. You'll receive entry documents on the plane that will ask for your passport number, reason for travel, and address where you'll be staying. When you disembark, you'll be channeled through to inspectors who will check your papers, ask the purpose of your visit, and sign off on your documents. Then you'll grab your luggage and go through the portal marked "nothing to declare". (You may need to declare items you bought on your trip when returning to the U.S. – Xtreme staff will help you with that too.)

Once you have exited the terminal, you’ll be greeted by XtremeTrips.com staff members who will direct you to the transfer buses, which will bring you to your hotel.

What are the events like?
Since the owners of XtemeTrips.com were in your shoes once, we developed the events of your Spring Break to give you what you REALLY want and need. We know what’s important to you and we designed our Spring Break events to include Free Drinks, Free Meals, personalized staff, raging pool parties, express entry into clubs, and celebrity DJ appearances. 98% of our travelers purchase the Xtreme Party Package before they leave to take advantage of discounts on our parties and free meals and drinks.

What happens if I register now, but am late paying my final balance?
We know that planning this trip gets the juices flowing but you need to be especially responsible during the booking process. Unfortunately, the airlines and hotels we work with are in tremendous demand during the spring travel season, and space is limited. Reservations not paid in full at the due date may be subject to a late fee or may be canceled (you'd forfeit your deposit and everything).

Once a reservation is canceled, we cannot guarantee that you'll be able to book your spot again. You can choose to reinstate your reservation for a fee if the space is still available, but keep in mind that you may be wait-listed or we may be unable to get you a seat on your original flight. If we have booked all our seats, you may be required to organize your own flight.

In the event that your trip is canceled, your roommates will also need to split the difference of your hotel fee (they'll have to absorb your part of the bill.) Any questions you might have about this can be answered by any Xtreme Representative at 877-997-8747 begin_of_the_skype_highlighting              877-997-8747      end_of_the_skype_highlighting begin_of_the_skype_highlighting              877-997-8747      end_of_the_skype_highlighting.

What should I pack?
Girls: Don’t bring all 24 pair of black shoes! We’ve seen entire luggage bags dedicated to this shoe phenomenon. You will need dress up outfits, casual clothes, and pool stuff.

Guys: Don’t forget to bring shoes! Flip flops don’t count. Don’t forget pants and jeans, as some of clubs do not allow shorts, especially jean shorts.

General Stuff: Sunscreen, sun glasses, no cherished valuables, all legal medicine, your lucky shirt.

Xtreme Tip - The airlines allow each traveler to bring up to 2 pieces of luggage, each measuring no more than 62 inches for a maximum of 44 lbs. of total baggage, plus one carry on bag that can fit under the seat in front of you (Xtreme will send you a complete list of Travel Tips and packing suggestions with your tickets).

What about Transfers, Changes and Cancellations?
Travelers may transfer an active reservation to another party as long as a plane ticket has not been issued in the original traveler's name. A minimum $20 service fee will apply (fees change as the tour gets closer).

In some cases, where commercial air has been provided, changes will not be allowed for the air portion of tour but you can transfer the remainder of the tour to someone and receive a partial credit. Changes are easy as long as our vendors can accommodate the request. We can't make any guarantees, but we do promise to make every effort on your behalf. Please keep in mind that a $20 fee applies in certain cases. In some cases the vendor may institute an additional fee. Adding a roommate is not considered a change.

For cancellations: once your place has been confirmed, you must submit your cancellation in writing. All payments and reservations are non-refundable. Since hotel rooms are rented by occupancy, if you do cancel your trip, your roommates will need to pay the occupancy increase in the price since there are less people splitting the cost of the room.

In order to avoid these situations, we recommend that you find somebody to take your place on the trip.

Does XtremeTrips.com have onsite staff members?

Absolutely, XtremeTrips.com cares deeply about every student and strives to assist any Xtreme traveler with help 24 hours a day. However, we also view our student travelers as responsible adults.

In addition, staff will provide all travelers with a complete orientation upon arrival. We'll tell you what to do in case of emergency, how to find our staff (English and Spanish speaking) and other important information to ensure your maximum safety and fun.

Is my fraternity or sorority liable for anything?
Emphatically NO! Although your trip might have been planned through the fraternity or sorority, the trip was not formally endorsed by that source. All monies, booking, and communication are handled through a third party vendor, XtremeTrips.com. Students are also asked to sign off on our terms and conditions of the trip before depositing, which further alleviates the chapter name from affiliation with the trip.

Do I need any shots to travel out of the country?
According the Center for Disease Control (CDC,) you will NOT need shots for travel to any of our current destinations. For more information, visit the CDC website at http://www.cdc.gov/travel/destinat.htm.

I’m ready to have the time of my life, how do I register?
It's cake! You can register online or call us at 877-997-8747 to speak with one of our student travel professionals.
